Coats
Mini Scottish Highlands have shaggy, solid-colored coats. Their colors can vary from red, black, yellow, dun, white, and silver. We have done some cross-breeding with our Highlands, also giving us a variety of spotted and tipped calves.
We are blessed to have our Mini Highland steer from Jeff Ranch. From the minute we received Red he became an integral member of our family. Red has taught our three kids about responsibility for and care of an animal. Red is gentle and loves to spend time with anyone who is willing to give him a scratch and affection.
Jeff Ranch has answered any question we have had regarding Red in a timely manner. The day Red came to us they made sure we had all necessary supplies required for the care of a Mini Highland calf. Jeff Ranch also took the time to check in on us frequently and has made our family feel comfortable and confident in the care we provide Red. We would highly recommend Jeff Ranch to anyone looking to add a Mini Highland calf to their family.

Caring for a Mini Highland
Conners Mini Cattles are great for small acreages. They can be anywhere to 1/2 or even 1/3 the size of standard cattle, so, therefore, require less feed and land. We encourage the ration of one miniature cow per ½ to 1-acre grass with good quality hay during the winter months.
Mini Scottish Highlands are a very hardy breed of cattle that can withstand harsh cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer with adequate shade and water. They tend to be docile and calm, especially the more you work with and handle them. They can make great outdoor companions, show cattle, or home-raised beef.
